Pros

People working in the company are very positive and passionate about the what they do for their customers Good pockets of collaborative working

Cons

Changes in Exec team to more corporate/profit focus has made the culture change, for the negative Focus on Merger and changing the company to look better for it! Change to T&C's which will cause a lot of people to work longer hours with less holiday for less salary! Current organisational restructure has not been fully thought through to understand impacts and risks to the company and the customers - some of who are very vulnerable Cost savings are not all for the "good" of the customer Consultants brought in to assist with Organisational Change have waited Circles money - we have/had the talent internally who would have been able to understand the working world of the company All of the above and more causing good talented people to leave

Pros

There are many good people working within the business who are undoubtably there for the best interest of Circle's tenants and service users and they can be an absolute joy to work with. However, their best efforts are constantly undermined by the inappropriate overreaction by weak managers to internal and external issues (see below).

Cons

Many weak managers have proved themselves as unable to cope since difficult times hit the business as a result of the recently proposed government reforms and Circle's appalling repairs service. Backstabbing, nepotism and bad internal communications have become rife which has led to low team morale, job dissatisfaction and employees being made redundant, pigeonholed, or promoted for simply brown nosing the right people. Meanwhile, one or two extortionately paid directors and external "consultants" have taken advantage of the weak management and wider instability to rinse the business for whatever they can, demanding much higher salaries and influence than they deserve and corrupting Circle Housing's social purpose in the process.

Pros

+flexible working condtions +fairly gentle treatment of staff +the mission (affordable housing) is a good one +some middle managers and execs very good +lots of kind, compassionate people committed to helpign the community

Cons

+ some execs not so good +wouldnt want to be a manager as HR will always take the side of the Employee, they need a body and the bullets too, before they agree to let anyone go. (unless you cross the wrong exec) +pay average for industry
