Pros

All employees who work 8 hours a week get full access to the facilities. Performance reviews that can get you a 3 percent raise. Lower level managers are very understanding and willing to try and work with you

Cons

Calm, humble, understanding... These are all words that don't describe the owner. He has an explosive temper and little regard for employees. On some occasions your shift could changed with less than 24 hours notice (owner decides he wants to keep the pool open an extra few hours). Owner also does not seem to care about the safety of employees, making them work on the deck during lightening, and even dumpster dive (in guard uniform, which consisted of flip-flops and a swimsuit) in a construction dumpster. Do not be surprised by his reckless disregard for the safety of his employees. lifeguards start at 8.50, below most other pools. Also, expect politics. Interns are unpaid and quite often do the same work as paid employees.

Pros

The staff at the front desk cares about the culture and environment of the club. Members are the first thought.

Cons

When I was there, I experienced a change in managers, and this process was not the smoothest.
