Cons
Management at the Kingston location needs major improvement. Communication, transparency, and honesty are lacking, which makes it very difficult for new employees to feel supported or valued. There are no clear training procedures. For example, I was not properly shown how to perform certain tasks, such as cutting chicken, yet was criticized for not meeting expectations despite trying my best to follow vague directions. The feedback I received was not constructive, and there was little patience or understanding for employees still in the learning phase. The environment is extremely high-pressure, with limited encouragement or motivation. The leadership style focuses heavily on output rather than development or teamwork. It feels discouraging when mistakes are treated harshly instead of being used as learning opportunities. Additionally, terminations happen suddenly with little or no notice, which creates a sense of instability among staff. Feedback systems are almost non-existent, and appreciation for effort or improvement is rare. Long hours and a lack of scheduled breaks during busy shifts made the experience very stressful. Overall, my time there was difficult. I believe this location would benefit from stronger training programs, more open communication, and a culture that values learning and respect for employees.
