This company is not for everyone. If you’re the kind of person that proudly flies a confederate flag off the back of their monster truck, this may be the company for you. Sadly, the Christensen’s personal beliefs leach throughout the entire company and seems to attract people of the same cloth. Making rude “jokes” about people of other cultures/ethnicities and harassing the local homeless people in the area are common occurrences here. The owners even push their political opinions onto the employees. The CEO sent out a memo to the entire company, urging them to vote for a certain former Apprentice star. Obviously this is wildly inappropriate regardless of what political candidate you're supporting.
The Seaport offices are pretty depressing and run-down. There isn't nearly enough parking so everyone has to tandem park. So if you ever want to leave, you have to track down the person parked behind you and hope they're not in a meeting or off-site. And they will be annoyed at you every time you have to ask them, even though it happens every day and everyone has to do it.
The atmosphere in the office is not friendly nor fun. Many people here are just not nice. There seems to be an expectation that work should be your life and you should put in extra hours just for the sake of clocking hours. Every day when you leave, regardless of how many hours you put in, it's very likely that it will be passive aggressively commented on.
Owners and management only care about the bottom line and have no regard for limiting environmental impact. The EPA is viewed as the bad guys. I just felt gross working here.
