Pros

Excellent nurses and doctors who support a noble mission. Decent pay.

Cons

High turnover, mostly related to an administration that doesn't care about the employees. This is getting worse as time goes on! It wasn't like this when I started there 13 years ago! Christ Hospital used to be all about the employees and it was an honor to even get a job there, and once you were in, you didn't want to leave. I remember soon after I started there, the CEO came to me personally and asked me if there was anything that she could do to make me happier as an employee! First place I EVER worked that even cared if I was happy! That CEO is long gone and the CEO now is a banker who only cares about the money! Now, people have to sign a contract to be hired on so that they can't leave! After working at Christ Hospital as an RN for 13 years, I was hurt at work providing primary care to a patient. After calling all the shots, and determining each step of what would happen during the healing process, for 6 months, Christ Hospital terminated me when I didn't heal completely. They said that it is their policy, without exception, to terminate an employee after 6 months of inability to work, no matter what the cause. That would be exactly the amount of time that I spent in physical therapy before they decided that I needed surgery! They wouldn't even work with me so that I could maintain my benefits until I could return! In speaking with legal council, this is nothing new for Christ Hospital. If you choose to work there, DON'T GET HURT!

Pros

Can be slightly flexable in your schedule. For a non profit pay in this area is decent.

Cons

Horrible leadership The senior human operations partner is flat out the rudest person I have ever worked with. They do not train well and expect you to just know things and treat you like you are unintelligent. The ball can be drop and it's your task, however you wouldn't even know its your task or know how to do the task. Because they don't train. I was in this position for a year and a half and left. Basically get your experience and get out. They had two talent acquisition coordinators up and quit on them without notice because how horrible the recruitment director is. I put in my two weeks in the on my last day another human resource operations partner, put in there two weeks. They are definitely hiring, however you will hate it here! They total value team is about to be a team of 2 so the work that they will out in you will be a lot and your boss doesnt even know what his own department does.
