Pros
This company has a fantastic mission, "Helping restaurants thrive".
Cons
Customer service performance metrics are unrealistic and create a mean-spirited environment in CS. This result is in poor customer service for restaurants and customers. There are favorites in this department. If you arent a favorite be prepared to spend your time cleaning up other CS agent's mistakes in an attempt to make their performance metrics. The customer service department misleads new hires by telling them most of their work will be with Restaurants. A majority of customer service calls are speaking to customers about refunds and fixing delivery mistakes by DoorDash and in-house delivery. The job posting for CS states, one weekend day a week. If you are scheduled on Mondays and a holiday falls on a Monday you are working while the rest of the company is OFF. No real advancement is CS. I also agree with another reviewer, on the following: When I first started here, everything was great. I quickly discovered what an absolute mess this organization is. The place is a free-for-all, and management and higher ups lack respect and care for the employees feelings. Everyone does what they want, and doesn't care who it affects. There is no accountability, and there are clear favorites in this company. "To Help Local Restaurants Thrive" it's a great mission, but that doesn't count if you are a Spanish-speaking restaurant. A massive percentage of locally-owned restaurants are owned by Spanish-speakers. ChowNow does not service them, or care to offer Spanish support/materials. You can't have such a mission if you don't care enough to make this a priority. There is such a misconception about growth opportunities here. There used to be, but that has quickly changed. ChowNow prides itself on diversity in it's hiring, but if you look at the Exec board and upper management, it's predominantly white middle aged men. Classic. ChowNow likes to pride itself on it's mission, transparency, and diversity, yet that's not what is actually happening here. Things have really gone down hill.
