Pros

The people at chownow were nice. Never really ever had a negative interaction with anyone across the company.

Cons

For starters? Well you get laid off, chances of that happening are higher than you think. More so since it literally happens at least twice a year. To top it off, you can spend years working here and only get a paltry 2 weeks severance. There isn’t any actual direction at the company. Have you seen the app? There’s no restaurants, and the ones that are on the app, generally churn out pretty quickly. There’s no rhyme or reason to much of anything. How are you supposed to attract restaurants of your app has no basic QoL features? No easy way to search for items, no easy way to even find out what restaurants are near you. Oh gee I love using an app to order food that makes it hard for me to order food! To top it off, the actual backend technology is rudimentary at best. You can’t be quick at chownow. Everything is slow. There’s no tangible future at chownow. Partnerships? They fall apart A LOT. Product ideas? lol we put ads on stuff and call it a day. Oh and we also want to leverage AI TO DO STUFF! Steer clear. There is no future here. M

Pros

The company genuinely cares about helping independent restaurants succeed, and you feel that mission in your day-to-day work. • Strong leadership direction lately with a clearer strategy, better structure, and more accountability than before. • Tons of learning and growth if you’re proactive; you get real exposure to leadership and cross-functional collaboration. • The sales org is evolving fast with new tools, better data, and improved compensation structure. • Employees are passionate, scrappy, and want to win together; it’s a culture of builders

Cons

Still in transition. Processes, tools, and messaging are being rebuilt, so it can feel like controlled chaos at times. • The pace is extremely fast — not for anyone who wants a 9-to-5. • Some growing pains with cross-department alignment as the company scales. • With so many changes, communication can sometimes lag

Pros

Coworkers are good people and teams try their best despite the chaos. Remote work.

Cons

Poor executive leadership, constantly changing priorities and restructuring, lack of direction, low morale, reactive decision making, and executives who are out of touch with what the business actually needs.
