Pros

Choicelunch is an amazing company to work for. It is inspiring to work for a company that strives to provide creatively healthy meals to schools. I have been able to watch the company grow and have been given many opportunities to learn new things. The company offers training to anyone who expresses the desire to learn and always look to promote from within when the opportunity arises. The execute and management team cares about their employees and their success and happiness. There are medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits available. Some employees are given the holidays and summer off according to school schedule. The team at Choicelunch is extremely talented, passionate, and intelligent. I feel thankful being able to work and learn beside them as the company continues to grow and change and hope to do so for a long time.

Cons

The beginning of the school year and time leading up to it can being challenging and hectic as we gear up for schools to start up and get re-acquainted with our tasks and each schools nuances.

Pros

When people say that a company is mission-based, I ask if they have heard of Choicelunch. It’s a very unique company culture built on the shoulders on some very smart, talented, and driven individuals who actually understand the value of working hard together. It is not to say that we always agreed on which direction to go or that the plans necessarily worked out as planned, but I generally found people to be open to trying out new ideas. It’s a place where leaving your pride at the door is simply preferred, whether it came to you naturally or not. Feeding busy families is a tougher business than one would expect. If you want food to be healthy, economic, and timely, you have to be truly creative but also honest, and willing to change with the times from the provider end. If more customers actually knew the lengths to which decisions were deliberated over and made, they would be speechless. The organization is not perfect, but it does strive for excellence with integrity. And that does mean something when you’re on a mission! It was a great place to work and grow both professionally and personally. I worked there for a few months shy of 5 years, and would recommend it without reserve.

Cons

There may have been times when there were probably too many ideas out there, but this company is all about putting everything out on the table so to speak. This may not be the place for everyone, but if it is, it's an ever awesome place to work and be!
