Pros

An unparalleled culture that fosters deep connections and love between colleagues Awesome career opportunities if you are open to the possibilities, have a positive attitude, are committed and willing to learn and grow A product that is devoted to something meaningful: families and food Flexibility in arranging work/life balance

Cons

Requires flexibility and adaptability as the business is always changing. Successful employees will be those that don't need a static environment to feel 'safe' Benefits are standard for a small company Has at times been too ambitious without thorough planning and risk-assessment (but the leaders are transparent and honest in sharing these 'growing pains')

Thanks for taking the time to lend this perspective. No one takes more responsibility for our overly ambitious efforts than me. I've had to learn the hard way that even great ideas are not great if we can't deliver on them, and a good dose of skepticism should be welcomed and not discounted. Great advice on understanding that we won't be able to please everyone. I think trying to do so only makes it that much harder to please the people who are already bought in to what we do.

Pros

When people say that a company is mission-based, I ask if they have heard of Choicelunch. It’s a very unique company culture built on the shoulders on some very smart, talented, and driven individuals who actually understand the value of working hard together. It is not to say that we always agreed on which direction to go or that the plans necessarily worked out as planned, but I generally found people to be open to trying out new ideas. It’s a place where leaving your pride at the door is simply preferred, whether it came to you naturally or not. Feeding busy families is a tougher business than one would expect. If you want food to be healthy, economic, and timely, you have to be truly creative but also honest, and willing to change with the times from the provider end. If more customers actually knew the lengths to which decisions were deliberated over and made, they would be speechless. The organization is not perfect, but it does strive for excellence with integrity. And that does mean something when you’re on a mission! It was a great place to work and grow both professionally and personally. I worked there for a few months shy of 5 years, and would recommend it without reserve.

Cons

There may have been times when there were probably too many ideas out there, but this company is all about putting everything out on the table so to speak. This may not be the place for everyone, but if it is, it's an ever awesome place to work and be!
