Pros

I have been working here for last three years. First six months went into understanding the system environment. As a fresher I was happy to get a job at least, but with time the things started getting worse. Ever increasing load and responsibilities and very slow growth. It is good only if you dont have any other better option .

Cons

1. Unequal work distribution. 2. Mismanaged structure 3. Increasing favoritism 4. Very slow growth in terms of salary 5. Long working hours 6. You may require to stay till mid night during functions and will never be given any compensation 7. Working Saturdays. you will get very few off. May be two off in two months.

Pros

Excellent opportunities for research output, with strong support for publishing in high-impact journals like Scientific Reports and pursuing patents. Good access to compute resources for GPU-accelerated deep learning work. Encourages interdisciplinary projects across healthcare AI, computer vision, and IoT, which helps build a diverse publication record. Faculty Development Programs and conference exposure are genuinely useful for academic growth.

Cons

Research roles often come bundled with significant administrative responsibilities like exam coordination and student mentoring, which eats into research time. Stipend and compensation for JRF/Research Assistant roles can feel low relative to the workload and output expected. Work-life balance can be inconsistent during publication deadlines or academic cycles. Career progression and clarity on long-term roles beyond the PhD can be vague.
