Pros
Student population is exciting and very open to health education and prevention but no appointment time to complete
Cons
Long hard hours, 10-11 hours per day, no breaks or lunch. EMR cumbersome. Doctor expected to complete current meds list, allergies, pmhx, pfhx, etc. AND clean your exam /restock room. Nurses enter a 3 word chief complaint. With no mental health experience I was seeing 25% MH, very sick kids and no available psychiatric or school counseling appointments put doctors in a very bad situation. Lots of mid levels unsupervised with a lot of bad cases. With 20 years experience I was offered entry level salary and after first day of work was told by admin that it never increases except for COL. very click, double standards, discrimination.
