Pros

Some of the office staff are nice, enjoyed working with the elderly, director genuinely cares

Cons

Expected to work odd, long hours. Schedulers don't care if you start your day at 6AM and your last shift ends at 9PM. If you get sick, you're responsible for finding coverage for your shifts which can be quite difficult. Sometimes you won't be able to get any coverage, the office schedulers are of absolutely no help, and you have no choice but to go to work sick. I once had a bad migraine which I brought to the attention of the schedulers and was forced to finish up my remaining 8 hours of work because they couldn't find anyone to cover for me and have no type of on-call system in place.

Pros

Fox therapy does wonders, and they are always so helpful. The job itself is rewarding. Most of the other care staff are there for all the right reasons.

Cons

The pay is minimal. Some of the residents require way more assistance than we can provide. We are required to do so much more than we really can do properly in one day.
