Pros
The mission and core care model are great, and most people truly believe in doing good and improving patient care
Cons
Management is a mess, grand plans without the ability or funding to execute, heavy operating siloes that are trying to change but the lack of operating standards and data infrastructure are massive barriers. Additionally, the mismanagement has led to an artificial inability to pay bonuses despite being profitable, as well as to massive layoffs (1/3 of corporate staff right before the holidays) with only two weeks of severance per year of service, a slap in the face for a workforce that has given so much. It's disappointing that they sell a vision of greatness, but when you join, you're met with a dysfunctional reality that the 'leading' value-based care company is really not all that it says it is.
