Pros

The pay is ok, but for the amount of work that you are expected to do...we should be compensated more.

Cons

The “team lead” of my group of nurses, has horrible managerial skills. She is unapproachable, rude and lacks empathy. If your child is sick or if you have an emergency...she expects you to “stay until she sees if it will be busy”. But the moment she has an emergency or doesn’t feel well she leaves and only tells ONE person. And expects that person to tell the rest of the clinical staff. We lost a really good nurse because of how our “team lead” treated her. Which is unfortunate because we were just beginning to build a really good team! Overall I think that before someone becomes a team lead they should demonstrate certain skills. We will never have a good team, if we do not have good leadership!

Pros

Remote Work Flexibility: The ability to work from home offers a great work-life balance and a highly flexible day-to-day environment. Excellent Peers: The general staff and fellow employees are incredibly nice, professional, and great to collaborate with. There is a strong sense of peer-to-peer camaraderie.

Cons

Disrespectful Direct Management: My immediate supervisor frequently displays a disrespectful and condescending attitude toward direct reports. Constructive feedback is non-existent; instead, mistakes are met with public or private hostility rather than professional coaching. Complete Lack of Support: Management offers zero support when challenges arise. They provide no guidance or assistance leaving direct reports entirely on their own to figure things out.
