Pros

Stepping stone for many with limited work experience

Cons

Run far far away. Most unprofessional management I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. ONE product is popular with biotech manufacturing because of the simple technology and ease of use. That is pretty much it and all their betting their chips on. It made easy sales during the pandemic, but with recent economic climate many instruments are now available on the reseller sites and the grey market. Their most “recent” product launch (using recent in quotations because they have failed to soft launch it two other times) has all types of technical issues and difficult to sell. Colleagues have privately disclosed that they don’t think it’s better than competitor instruments, so you do the math. Extremely unstable place to work, many people are spooked and remaining employees are only still here because of the job market. Not sure if the company will make it in this economy.

Pros

• Innovative technology with a strong market presence. • Good opportunities to work with biotech customers.

Cons

• Workplace culture is undermined by favoritism and what feels like nepotism in promotions. Advancement often appears tied more to personal connections than merit or qualifications. • My personal experience with HR was discouraging. After raising a concern about an inappropriate religious remark from a colleague, I was surprised to see that person promoted while I was let go shortly after. This left me questioning the company’s true commitment to inclusivity and respect. • Limited accountability when it comes to handling employee concerns—serious issues can feel dismissed rather than addressed
