Pros
Stable job, market wages, good benefits.
Cons
Terrible office environment. Coworkers will often loudly and passive aggressively gossip about other employees, commenting on when other employees leave for another company, how others dress, what they do for lunch, who smokes or vapes, basically everything anyone does. Otherwise the office is dead silent, so quiet you can hear a pin drop. This work often requires junior employees to work closely with a project manager, and sometimes (oftentimes) these middle managers will either have no idea how to work with junior-level employees, or they seem to go on some kind of power trip. One particular manager would very often give you specific instructions, then upon you completing the task, would then proceed to browbeat you over everything you "missed". Often I found this problem was worse on the pension side than the health side. Curiously, the health team seemed a lot more focused on working than office politics. It's a very old-fashioned style company environment full of the "live to work" types, so if you feel like you'll fit in there you'll do just fine.
