      Pros

      The overall goal of the company is to help PhDs find meaningful careers outside of academia, so it’s rewarding to see members achieve this.

      Cons

      You will be overworked and underpaid. You will work weekends, holidays, while you are on vacation, when you are sick, early in the morning, late at night... you name it. You will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 12-14 hour days are not only common, but expected. The CEO is extremely manipulative, unprofessional, and will regularly belittle you in front of the entire team for no reason. If you bring up concerns about this or about other issues in the workplace, he will tell you to stop wasting his time or that you are being too sensitive. I truly would not wish working at Cheeky Scientist on my worst enemy. It’s a horrible experience and will leave you with borderline PTSD. I’m so happy I got out of there!

      Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as we appreciate all feedback from current and former employees. We do understand that many support based jobs that include a bonus plan often require extra dedication on the part of the team member, though our salaries for support associates without any experience or secondary education are very competitive. Often positions at start up companies are challenging as well. We hope that you find a position that is a better fit for you in your next endeavor.

      Pros

      The team culture at Cheeky is fantastic. Everyone is so supportive, friendly, and genuinely awesome. The team motivates each other and is always willing to help whenever needed. The company is fully remote which is a huge benefit. It is very fast paced and rapidly growing. We literally change lives every.single.day how couldn't you love that!

      Cons

      The downside to working at Cheeky is it is very fast paced and rapidly changing & growing so if you aren't accepting of change or like a slower paced atmosphere then this isn't the company for you.

      Terrible ownership and management. You are just a number and nobody cares about anything other than the revenue you generate
