Pros

I spend the first 10 years of my career in stuffy corporate environments, working at Checkout 51 for the last 1.5+ years has been a breath of fresh air. The Office is very trendy with a fantastic open concept and plenty of spaces to work quietly or have quick breakout meetings depending on your day. It is really nice to work for a company that values your efforts and has the utmost respect for my work/life balance. Management does everything they can to maintain a healthy work/life balance for their staff and encourage us to continue to develop our skills by providing tuition assistance. The staff are all very talented and driven to make the company the best it can be. They make coming to the office every day both fun and inspiring.

Cons

If you are someone that likes having their day to day set, it might be challenging for you. It's very fast paced environments and employees need to be flexible. This is not necessarily a con.

Pros

Lots of focus on employee engagement and satisfaction even during these fully remote times! What I've learned about the company is that there has been different changes throughout the years and lessons were learned to try to put the best foot forward. It's not perfect as no workplace is but there's always something to be said about how a company reacts to situations thrown at them and still strives to improve. For such a big team there's emphasis showing how one side of the business affects the other. It provides enough context to feel in touch with the multiple projects that are going on simultaneously. Also considering that there is a parent company, I think Checkout has been able to and continue to carve out an identity for itself in the market!

Cons

Not many that I can think of besides trying to put Checkout priorities vs parent company in perspective as those changes can impact personel and resources. Keep up the incredibly challenging balancing act!
