Pros

Aside from the CEO, the team is fantastic. The culture and family we have developed is unique and one I've never experienced before. I really enjoyed my time with the company and was sad to leave. A new implementation of a benefit is paid medical premiums for the household, not just the employee.

Cons

I initially had reservations about the PTO policy at this company but decided to move forward despite the negative reviews, assuming they were written by disgruntled former employees. The behaviors mentioned didn't seem to align with the real life experience, so I dismissed it. Early on, the CEO came across as flexible and compassionate, especially when I needed time off for personal reasons. Unfortunately, that perceived kindness turned out to be performative. The 'generosity' was later referenced publicly and used to portray the owner as a kind, well meaning, understanding boss— something I had hoped would remain private. The work environment began to reveal deeper issues. On multiple occasions, members of leadership were called into meetings only to be loudly berated, sometimes without any clear or valid work-related reason. From an observer’s standpoint, it felt unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. The communication and management style were consistently poor. It was common to receive feedback on a deliverable, revise it according to that input, only to be told, “I didn’t say that.” Guidance was rarely provided in new tasks. Instead, employees were expected to anticipate needs and deliver results without proper support or direction — and often blamed when things didn’t go perfectly. There is one day per week when each department is meant to have dedicated time with the CEO, it's just lip service. If you try to schedule a meeting outside of that, you're told to wait until your designated day but then he's 'too busy' or blows off the meeting. The overall culture was top-down blame-shifting, with no meaningful accountability at the leadership level. The only redeeming aspect of my experience was department heads who did their best to buffer the team from the dysfunction above.

Pros

Great environment and a refreshing focus on design and customer experience. I always feel supported in my projects and have an excellent connection with my engineering and leadership staff. Just a great place for a designer to thrive and make a valid impact.

Cons

In office requirement can be difficult but that may be because I worked remotely for quite a long time.
