Pros
The Chameleon Collective is the place where I have been able to show what I can really do without all the bureaucracy and red tape that corp. has. It's packed with HIGHLY and TOP OF THE LINE experts who are always willing to help each-other and share their knowledge. Great roster of clients, giving the opportunity to be exposed to different industries, technologies, and business sizes. All the while having the opportunity to have a work-life balance (and yes, it's real, it does exist) The beauty of it, in my personal opinion, is the chance to be your own boss while having a strong support system, which is something you don't get in the freelance world as it tends to be a very lonely journey. But not here!
Cons
Like anything in life, there are some challenges. But mainly, you have to be open to ride the ups and downs of consulting and be able to be self-managed. Be very confident in your skillset as it's rare that clients will have the initiative to give you feedback; you are an expert and the high quality work you deliver is what is expected. Therefore, feedback tends to be rare, but it can happen!
