Pros

The pay is competitive and the benefits are pretty standard. Benefits have been watered down each year for a number of years though and pay does not increase at the rate of inflation.

Cons

Faculty have little to no voice and the many, many, many layers of administration makes all the decisions. Unfortunately, many if not most of the administrators have little to no academic experience. Make no mistake that this is a for-profit business first and an educational institution second. All decisions center around keeping students in seats to pay more tuition even when the students aren't doing the work and aren't learning. They talk about Chamberlain Care but don't practice it at an institutional level, from the top down. There have been multiple rounds of eliminating jobs and departments with announcements going out the day before a scheduled break and effected faculty and staff were told that they would not have a job at the end of the one week break. Almost any institution would try to place these people into other positions but not at an institution that has Chamberlain Care. They told them they couldn't help them and if they wanted a severance package they would have to sign a statement that they would never work for the company again. HR is the Gestapo and extremely unfriendly to faculty. When positions are posted, administration frequently has already hired someone. There is little room for advancement if you aren't willing to drink the kool-aid and insure that making money is more important than educating students. In short, I would not recommend this institution to anyone because they are not what they appear on the surface and do not truly support students, faculty, or staff.

Pros

I've spent many years at Chamberlain, and one of the main reasons is the opportunity for growth. If you're looking for a career rather than just a job, there are clear advancement opportunities at both the enrollment representative and leadership levels. The culture is performance-driven but also coaching-focused, with strong investment in training and development. Chamberlain has strong brand recognition, which makes conversations with prospective students meaningful and rewarding.

Cons

The pace can be demanding during peak enrollment periods, and success requires adaptability as priorities and processes evolve.

Pros

There are lots of good people working in the campuses and working to help students succeed is very fulfilling.

Cons

The home office (Covista) IT takes forever and a day to do anything. There seems to be a focus on reducing costs to the point that the experience feels cheap.
