Buyer Beware - Anonymous employee Certus Solutions Employee Review

A revolving door of good people who stay only long enough to realise what they have just walked into, and leave. The CEO and senior management lacks clarity of vision and have the emotional intelligence of a house brick. The branding and marketing is glossy but it is largely vapourware and a house of cards. People are not important, remuneration promises are regularly not honoured, contribution is measured purely on billable hours and the associated workload expectations are unreasonable. Certus is a declining business with a decaying culture, being propped up by making over-priced acquisitions of other troubled companies, which are then poorly integrated and add cashflow pressure to an already challenged business. Unfortunately, the fish rots from the head as they say, so until changes are made at the top (CEO and board level), it its unlikely anything will change as these problems have been around for years. Do your due diligence before accepting a role here, and if you are brave enough to give it a go, make sure you get everything in writing.
