      Pros

      I have been an RN for several years and have worked in different types of healthcare settings, including a nursing home and the hospital. This job is my absolute favorite. Many people think working in a Prison is unsafe or horrible work environment, but it is actually the opposite. I feel safer here than I ever did at the hospital. I would recommend this company to any of my nurse friends!

      Excellent company to work for—I’ve been with the organization for 10 years. Strong leadership, great team collaboration, and a genuine focus on supporting team members. Great benefits and compensation, and leadership consistently seeks out our input and suggestions.

      Helping others- Other staff was great. Salary.

      Cons

      Prison staff at Hayes were not concerned about the safety of inmates or MH Staff. Program manager avoided doing her job- Would scream at other employees. Work wasn't always divided evenly. Some employees were considered favorites. Have to be tough skinned to deal with inmates.
