Pros
This happens to pay much higher than any other FD in the area. Pretty much the only reason I came into work every day.
Cons
Honestly not sure where to begin, almost every aspect of working here is sub-par. Definitely not the place for a new ff/emt, this is the furthest thing from how a real FD operates. When you have other employees telling you on your first day how to "watch your back b/c management will do any/everything to fire you", is a bit of a red flag. Leadership is virtually non-existent from the top of the chain down, it's literally a rumor mill, drama rittled, who can kiss up the best sewing circle. It's so sad and scary to think about what will happen when a true emergency strikes. Fortunately, there are a few really good guys keeping this place going.
