Pros

* Development Team Members were awesome - Excluding the Architect * Dev Guild meetings for developers was a great venue to present or discover new technologies or development techniques. * Recent improvements to 401K.

Cons

Do not consider a job here, as a software developer, unless you are desperate and have no other options. They will tell you a great story about their present and future plans but reality will never match their words. * Toxic & Abusive Culture * Unethical & Unprofessional Management team * The architect is the worst person I’ve ever met in my life and has no redeeming qualities. - The architect is the son of the owner, is involved in everything and cares only about himself. - Most of the development teams are walking on eggshells because of the architect. - The closer you have to work with him the more miserable you will be. * CTO sits in on all daily status meetings. * Very old VB.NET code written in a very convoluted way. * Low / No Pay Increases. They’ll give you a review but you’ll never see an increase if they can avoid it. * Weak benefits My conscious is now clear... you have been warned.

We're sorry to hear that your experience at CenterEdge was unsatisfactory. We strive to provide a positive and rewarding work environment that fosters creativity, goodwill, and mutual respect. Workplace culture is an area of focused effort at CenterEdge, so to hear that you felt our culture was abusive is distressing. It is important that everyone at CenterEdge feel safe and valued, which is why we have multiple avenues (some of which are anonymous) to raise concerns like this, but we will look deeper to see what might be improved. We’d appreciate hearing more, specifically about the difficult experiences that you had, so please feel free to reach out if you would be comfortable sharing more one-on-one. We focus on individual and team performance, personal development, doing what’s right, and working with integrity. We celebrate calculated risk-taking, even when the results fall short of expectations, and always strive to innovate. Our team makes us who we are, and it is clear that you feel we didn’t live up to our end of the bargain. We're genuinely sorry to hear that. While we can’t speak directly to your experience, We're open to discussing this with you further to hear any additional feedback you might have. Please feel free to reach out directly, and we wish you all the best in whatever your future may hold.

Pros

I left CenterEdge because of the pandemic troubles it suffered (or else I might still be there!) and I wrote a very detailed review while I was still employed with them. I wanted to add the note that I am still on the cutting edge of processes to improve testing, DevOps, and software delivery because of the tremendous education I received (in my not-so-young career) at CenterEdge. I attribute this primarily to the System Architect, and the freedom he has been afforded to drive these kinds of initiatives.

Cons

Every company has its challenges, but the cons at CenterEdge are petty in comparison to the career-altering learnings to be had.

Pros

It’s a small company, everyone knows everyone. You can talk with the higher ups as people not just a number. The software is huge and fun to learn. There is a lot of opportunity to grow and they promote from within.

Cons

It’s a small company, everyone knows each other and all of the higher ups are best friends. This makes it hard to make an impact sometimes with data rather than feelings.
