Pros

Sadly there aren’t any at this point beyond occasionally having some nice coworkers who are as bewildered as everyone else. After CSD took over Juvo it’s been miserable.

Cons

-Management is inattentive -Many staff are provided minimal or next to no training -A lot of ethical concerns such as staff getting dinged/written up for client cancellations -Regional management doesn’t see people, they see numbers. They’ve routinely shown they do not respect their staff. -Regional management and HR very rarely respond to emails or concerns, and frequently punish staff who ask for help or clarifications -Ever since Juvo was bought out by CSD they have shown nothing but contempt for client or staff preferences -Time-Off requests are a joke. Even if submitted a month in advance they will often be denied 48-72 hours before the actual time off needed. -Upper management treats field-working staff in a manner akin to children and actively abuse, ignore, or mistreat them. -HR lost documents so often that files would have to be submitted 4-5 times over a year or corrective action would be threatened. -Management actively voided/voids contractual obligations in hiring paperwork if the individual was hired on through Juvo and not CSD -If a client cancelled last minute staff were expected to wait for reassignment to cases potentially an hour away and would be threatened with corrective action if they did not attend. -Insanely high turnover rate due to BTs being mistreated, ignored, or sent into scenarios they were not properly trained for. -Many senior staff that were with Juvo for 6-7 years within 3-4 months of working with CSD. Support is minimal. -Promotion denial is common even if all requirements were met -Benefits are handled poorly and staff must fight tooth and nail to even receive paperwork for insurance. -Constant emails from within the company that claim to promote a sense of well-being, but did nothing but antagonize staff and make them feel like children. -Company “giveaways” that suspiciously only ever went to upper management. -Staff would have to beg for additional hours if not receiving enough, and benefits are cut without warning even if promises were made to maintain them while additional hours are being “looked for”. -Management tells staff to not communicate with families or clients about availability, scheduling issues, days they will be unavailable, etc. Management will actively ignore families and treat staff poorly who try to advocate for families that are struggling to get answers. -Management is often filled with people who have never done field work and do not understand clientele wishes/desires. That or they just don’t care. -If staff are injured in the field, management tries to sweep it under the rug. Management has tried to blame staff’s broken bones or injured bodies on the staff member to prevent any form of assistance. -High amounts of meetings at times like 7:30 PM or 9 PM where management actively blames the low retention of staff…on staff… -Pay rates will often be different compared to what is promised, and will be changed without notice. -Mental Health days are frowned upon and staff will be punished for taking them.
