Pros

I was actually last employed there in 2007. Center Stage was a wonderful place to start my career, a warm environment in which to build professional skills. Not to mention being part of making theatre to be extremely proud of.

Cons

Salary is on the lower side and room for advancement is limited.

Pros

Being an intern at Center Stage allows you to really understand the inner workings of regional theater, while at the same time allowing you to get your hands messy. You really do meet some incredible artists and individuals, which allow for some really spectacular opportunities.

Cons

Upper leadership does not realize the amount of work that interns actually do for their institution. Without them, Center Stage would truly suffer. The number of people who actually are available to be your mentor (should you seek it) is slim, but once you find one you will be better equipped to navigate the playing field.
