Pros

Lots of cooking shows that have been on the air for a long time, direct deposit, my start date rarely ever got pushed, if you can get into the rotation you can make a good living

Cons

Hard to get into a regular rotation with so many long term employees, same schedule for season 1 shows as season 20 shows makes for a grueling season 1 process, very little communication on some shows that are in multiple seasons makes it hard to jump into the mix

Pros

The work could be consistent. But only if

Cons

If you're considering working with this production company, be prepared to never be treated as a true employee, because you won't be. You're a disposable contractor at best, expected to go above and beyond for little to no respect in return. The culture is toxic from the top down. Ownership is disengaged, often hostile, and in some cases actively disrespectful. You'll be talked down to, ignored, and made to feel invisible. There's a disturbing overlap between management and talent that includes unprofessional behavior and alleged drug use, all swept under the rug. Production teams regularly lowball your rate, dodge paying proper overtime, and use the "we're all a family" guilt-trip tactic to keep you overworked and underpaid. It’s less of a professional environment and more of a high school clique where who you know matters more than what you contribute. Favoritism is rampant, and if you’re not part of the inner circle, don’t expect fair treatment or advancement. As for the working conditions? Sets are located in a crumbling warehouse with obvious OSHA violations and serious safety concerns that are blatantly ignored. When flagged, these concerns are dismissed instead of addressed. There is no accountability, no leadership, and no interest in creating a healthy, professional work environment. If you value your time, your health, and your career—look elsewhere.
