Pros
Cementation really understands how to maintain a healthy work/life balance. When in the construction business, you generally have to work 50-70 a week. That is not the case at Cementation. There may be a late night here and there, but the overwhelming majority of the time, you are out of the office by 4:15-4:30. They also have corporate functions away from the office a few times a year so you can see your colleagues outside of work and get to know them better.
Not only is there a great work/life balance, but management seems to really care about the employees. A co-worker expressed interest in making a move to a different role, and they made it happen for him within a week.
From what I have seen, everyone holds an important role. Cementation tends to hire skilled people that either have talents or knowledge that will bring value to the group. There really aren't paper pushers and middle men running around. Because of that, everyone is treated with respect. Each person has their own skills they bring to the table which makes everybody a valued member of the team.
Cons
This is the construction industry, so there will be times where things are really fast paced and the days fly by. Other times, when work isn't so demanding, you may find yourself looking for something to do. There always is something productive you can be doing, so you aren't twiddling your thumbs, but it isn't always the fast paced atmosphere that makes the days scream by.
