Deployment pay is 15.00 per hour, which is really nice, even nicer is the overtime if you happen to get it. 22.50!! Training is really good, however, it is ALOT of information and fast paced. You have to take lots of notes and you will be fine. The trainers really do want to help you and encourage you to ask questions.
Cons
This is an on-call position. Hours are typically 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. Work is not steady it's based on weather..... You might work today and go on standby for tomorrow. You might get sent home early, it's all depending on business need. Some deployments are only a week long, others... well Sandy was several months
