Pros

There are still good people left in this company. Salaries and benefits are good to above average for the market, and if they haven't changed it already, there is a good work from home policy available..

Cons

As far as Information Technology goes, Stay Well Away, here are the reasons why: Ineffective, micro-managing, inept, and ignorant senior management at the Sr. Director level all the way up. Regardless of what you say your opinion won't count unless it reflects the top dog's, you'll have to get used to "my" way or no way. They have systematically churned through quality IT staff at a pace that is unbelievable, and created a B or C team at best in the last couple of months. At the same time they have assembled a management team that relies on FUD and micro-management to get the job done. Expect long hours, constant fire fighting and changes in priority with amazing regularity. Don't expect to get much praise, get used to the negatives over the positives. If you don't mind being brow-beaten on a regular basis, then this is the place for you.

Pros

The pay is great. 13-15$ an hour. additional 2 $ after a certain time and on weekends as well. They give you a 5 weeks training on how to use the system and once you get on the floor taking calls , they also provide you a assist line to call for any help you may need. I work night shift and i love it! gets busy from morning until 6pm . They also provide free bagels on fridays . Free coffee , tea and drinks from soda machine everyday. The benefits are great and there is always a way to contact someone for help. (Assist line , IM Chat through entire Member services , and they provide a list of number straight to supervisors desk ) This is at the orlando office.

Cons

Havent really had any cons so far. There is some gossip here and there but if your like me and dont get involved then its no big deal. Some member services dont know what they are doing as well as some supervisors and managers so they provide the wrong information to the patients/clients/members and its frustrating. Also dont feel like higher management /CEO care about our feelings and need for the job. Scared they might be cutting / laying off alot of people due to the transition to optum. Hopefully not though.
