Pros
The location of the office is pretty central, it’s close to a tramline, bus stop and some great local food places / shops. The orange stands out, it’s nice and bright on the outside, it’s a shame I can’t say the same about working beyond the bright sunny looking cover.
Cons
They’re probably the worst company I have worked in. On day 2, be prepared to wake up to friend requests on every social media platform, I mean EVERY, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok.. Be prepared to be called a ‘friend’ by the CEO and MD. They’re using that term of ‘friend’ in a manipulating way, I.e. to gain what they want from individuals.
They will ask you to print a list of all your LinkedIn connections, then ask you to give it to them, deactivate your established account, then ask you to use the new account they have made you with the castUK email. So very much a warning sign of the element of control they will want over you at the beginning.
It’s a suffocating, toxic workplace, where I saw many lovely individuals struggle, leave or get taken out the door.
As you can see from the responses from CastUK / Wayne Brophy on here, they’re pretty venomous. I read that they wouldn’t let a disabled member of staff use the disabled space. Not shocked, there’s no care for employees.
If you want to be trusted, respected, keep your individuality and have your headspace looked after, I’d avoid this company like the plague. There are employees within that feel too anxious to speak their truth due to the scare-mongering environment that lingers and is only spoken about between people not upwards to the SMT.
