Pros

- Diversity out the wazoo. You WILL find someone in your peer group that is into the same things you are, looks like you, worships like you, has your sense of humor, or passionate about some fringe hobby that you love as well. And if you don't? You'll still be hyped by your peers as being different and original. On my team now we have the most pessimistic man I ever met in my life, and we STILL have a great time hyping him up and giving him an outlet to just hate all the things. If you're reading this and you're in the know: SHOUT OUT TO KEVIN! -The culture. Kind of the same as above. -Benefits. Benefits. Benefits. -Leadership (in my experience) has always been amazing to me. -SO much opportunity for growth within the company

Cons

SOMETIMES it may feel like our passion for the company and our team is taken advantage of by placing people in leadership roles without title or extra compensation. Utilizing DRIs as de-facto leads and creating 'career experiences' where you get to work on a team or project above your pay grade for several weeks/months but are not compensated for the type of work/extra work you are doing beyond core work. If you're a grinder or someone who has a hard time telling leadership no, you may feel taken advantage of at times. I want to be clear, though, that sounds heavy, but it's really not a deter for most people. You DO get experience in something you may not have had an opportunity to try your hand at or have a background in at all, and that part is pretty cool.

Pros

Accrued PTO pretty quickly, lax job environment (cursing is fine on Slack, for example), loved my teammates. GREAT salary and benefits, which is the only reason I've scored 2 stars instead of 1.

Cons

We were constantly subject to the whims of Jack Dorsey with company-wide ramifications and minimal basis in reality (if you've ever watched Glass Onion, he feels like Ed Norton's character). The different verticals do not communicate with each other, often resulting in duplicative or contradictory work processes. Some teams have superiority complexes over others, which results in a hostile work environment and impedes collaboration. The company is leaning fully into AI without caring about the environmental or people impact (case in point: 4000 people being laid off for an AI tool that still is not working correctly). Upper management won't spend money to license/invest in useful tools, leaving lower agents to rely on Google for sources of truth or outright refusing to serve certain communities because it's too much hassle to accommodate them.
