Pros

I have autonomy to build my team. I have direct interactions with my customers and vendors and have been able to create an atmosphere worthy of Casey's bold and optimistic outlook on what a business can be to a community.

Cons

Store teams are isolated due to dysfunctional communication methods. All caps emails once a month stating general disappoinment with store performance...and no two-way communication whatsoever. In 2 years I have never been asked about my experience in my position. There is an open door policy but I can rarely get a response to a question via email and if I call I receive a barrage of unrelated nonsense and competitiveness from my supervisor. This is the root of the company's high turnover rates in the field. Talent walks out the door when there is no objective measurement of business performance and no rallying point or shared vision.

Its close to my home

Cons

Corporate dosent care. They dont maintain equipment or property leave employees to suffer the back lash when customers can't get gas or a slushy. The ac was broken during a heat advisory where feels like was in the low hundreds. They do not allow breaks. Somedays you may go 7 or 8 hours with out even a restroom break.
