Rewarding work and great team, but difficult management - Case Manager Cascade AIDS Project Employee Review

Pros

Pretty decent benefits, Rewarding work. Great team and supportive coworking environment. The clients are also great. It used to be much more flexible as far as scheduling is concerned. Now schedules for managers are flexible, while for non-managers they aren't.

Cons

Management is difficult to work with. If they're like you, they will treat you differently from people in the "outgroup". There are also some serious concerns about scheduling, DEI, privacy, and transparency in management. Ahead of the DEI crackdown by this administration, cap deleted any traces of its affiliation with DEI and gender-affirming care so as "to preserve" our funding.

Pros

Excellent benefits, great coworkers, a culture of care, awesome mission, a relaxed work atmosphere.

Cons

Big organization and miscommunications happen, especially between the union and middle management. Regardless, I still feel like intentions are good and those miscommunications get sorted out. Not as diverse of an organization as I am hopeful it will one day be, but I know they are working on this.

Pros

Note: this review is for Prism Health, which is a division of CAP. Generous PTO, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays Decent colleagues if you're "cool" enough and they find you worthy of speaking to. Protective union comprised of folks who really care! Some remote work available for the lucky ones.

Cons

We've had 3 CEO's since I started - the last one just gave his notice and has only been there for 6 months. They do not give raises based on merit. They only offer a yearly COLA raise, which is a measly 2.5% increase. Big whoop! There's ZERO room for advancement for current hard-working, burnt out employees. If people come in off the street, they'll reward and promote them more than the people who have put their heart and soul into their job. They no longer have a Christmas party, due to their own blunders in spending. They offer NO Christmas bonus and offer no other perks or bonuses for the vast majority of staff. They have ZERO appreciation for hard work and dedication and will suck you dry until they can get what they need out of you. Upper management pretends that they care, but they really only care about the bottom line. Morale is at an all time low. People continue to leave in droves. They have a nice mission statement, in theory, but much of that empathy and respect is not afforded to their dedicated staff who keep things running smoothly.
