Pros

* The team: Everyone is very nice, helpful, and welcoming. Do not be concerned if you don't have a background in Bitcoin - there is always someone willing to help you learn or get you the answers you need. * Lots of rooms for growth: Casa is a young, still small company. There are so many ways to grow here, whether in promotions, skills, or career moves into different departments. * Benefits!: How many early stage companies do you know of that offer medical, dental, vision, 401k, parental leave, and unlimited PTO? And the medical benefits are actually GOOD. * Fully remote: We get together for retreats and some cities have co-working spaces paid for by Casa, but we are a fully remote team spread across the world.

Cons

* Fully remote: I can't be the only one who sometimes misses in-person interactions (and an excuse for post-work happy hour!), right? * Young company: The road can be quite bumpy when it hasn't been paved. There are still a lot of unknowns here, which means a lot of frustrating trial-and-error and clashing opinions. * Lack of transparency: We're working to get better here, but sometimes new things/decisions/projects pop up out of nowhere and it's not always clear how we arrived to that moment. I don't think it's due to an unwillingness to share, but more of needing to be thoughtful in consideration and inclusion.

Pros

I have worked at a few startups, and Casa is by far my favorite. Everyone is passionate about what they are doing, and holds strong to our mission of empowering individuals to secure their financial soverienty. Our values permeate through our Culture - people are empathetic/respectful (so important in remote-only company); we fail forward together (very solution not problem-focused); and our team/leads think about the inputs just as much as the outputs. Work is just thoughtful, and methodical, and is calculated growth. It's not a family, but a solid group of individuals moving together, challenging each other, and bringing each other up.

Cons

Normal scaling growing pains: How do we do this? How do we measure that? Where does everyone fit? But open/direct communication here has been helping answer those questions. Sometimes I want to move faster, as calculated growth is new for me, but I appreciate the learning experience of being thoughtful before trying something new. The focus is good.
