Pros

Working with intelligent people in what could be great projects

Cons

Job ad says "We are looking for smart, motivated, and skilled people who excel at creating new frontiers and want to change the world." BS -- what you get instead is a business operating like a corporate bureaucracy when it's not even a profitable startup yet. People get in trouble for finding problems or designing around complex problems. It gets to a point where originally motivated people give up on trying to make things work better, just do what our "leaders" tell us and hope the fail is properly identified by management.

Pros

Innovative and creative. Truly a start-up that listens to new ideas and upper management has an open door that invites collaboration. There is zero micro-managing which is great, but because of the several projects in the works upper management can be a little distant. Your voice is heard, your work is appreciated, it was a great learning experience to the inside and out of how new projects/ideas can be launched and take off. You feel very well respected and appreciated. The morale is amazing.

Cons

Onboarding was a pain and pretty much self-taught for the project I was on, but also kind of a pro because I was able to learn quite a bit about technology that was outside of my realms of sales. The project I was on was not ready to launch for the sales price or sales projection they wanted, the platform should have been built out before they approached the market. Their competitors for the SaaS are miles ahead, but I believe in given time they can disrupt that market.
