Pros
Great pay and co-workers. The company appears to be growing fairly rapidly in terms of market share. Attempts to improve worker environment and quality of life have been improving.
Cons
There seems to be a lack of "owning an issue" between all the different departments (R&D, Service, Manufacturing, etc). Each department tends to focus solely on the production of their own department...in lieu of considering the effects each department's decisions has on other departments. It definitely is a cause of frustration. The buildings are very doom and gloom. If you enjoy pre-WWII era buildings with 70's era desks, floors, cubicles, labs, etc...you'll love being at Carestream. As noted above, they are trying to renovate...but I don't believe it will change much of anything. The customer survey system (NPS) has little to desire. Field Engineers are held to such a strong standard to ensure customers "recommend Carestream without being asked", that Field Engineers are now encouraging customers to "recommend Carestream without being asked" in regards to the FE's service and not the company as a whole. This leads to false survey reviews and inflated positive reviews.
