Pros

When I first started at Cardinal Contractors, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I had some sales experience but nothing in roofing, and I was skeptical of the usual “sky’s the limit” talk you hear at interviews. But a few months in, it became clear — this place is different. ⚡ Fast-Paced But Fair Cardinal isn’t the kind of company where you sit around waiting to be told what to do. From day one, you’re in the game. They give you the training, the support, and the expectations — then it’s on you to run with it. It’s fast-paced, and yeah, you’ve got to hustle, but the effort you put in directly reflects what you get out of it. That’s real. 💰 Pay That Matches the Work What I really like is that the commission structure actually makes sense. You’re not jumping through weird hoops to get paid. You sell roofs, you get paid — and paid well. The backend team handles things like production and scheduling, so you’re not bogged down once the deal is closed. That gives you more time to keep selling and building momentum. 🧠 Real Training, Not Fluff I’ve been through onboarding at other companies that felt like a waste of time — cookie-cutter stuff that didn’t help in the real world. Cardinal’s training is practical. You learn how to knock doors, handle insurance conversations, close deals, and manage your leads. I never felt like I was thrown out there blind. 👊 Team Atmosphere The people here grind, but they’re also chill. It’s competitive, but not toxic. We joke around, we share wins, and when someone’s stuck, people step in to help. I’ve had days where another rep handed me a hot lead just because he was overloaded. That kind of stuff builds loyalty. 📍 The Bottom Line Cardinal has been a game-changer for me. I went from paycheck-to-paycheck to making more in a month than I used to make in half a year. But more than the money, it’s the freedom — to set my schedule, to earn what I’m worth, and to be part of a team that actually cares about doing solid work.

Pros

Pros: Opportunity is real. If you're a self-starter and goal-driven, this is one of the best companies to work for. High-performing reps get promoted quickly and can build a six-figure income without needing years of tenure. Leadership is involved and responsive. The owner and managers are present, accountable, and lead by example. Feedback is encouraged and acted on. Training and systems are solid. The company uses JobNimbus, Trainual, and other systems to keep things organized. Training is thorough and field-relevant — not just theory. Great team culture. It's competitive but collaborative. People celebrate each other’s wins and help each other out in the field. No drama, just a shared hunger to win. Strong back office support. Once you turn in a deal, the production and admin teams are efficient. This lets salespeople focus on selling instead of getting bogged down in operations. Reputation and integrity. Cardinal does quality work and stands behind its word. That makes it much easier to sell because customers trust the brand.

Cons

Not for clock-punchers. If you’re looking for a laid-back 9–5, this isn’t it. You need to manage your time, stay consistent, and keep your pipeline moving. Weather and seasonality matter. Like most roofing companies, sales can slow in the winter months — but the strong months more than make up for it if you’re consistent.

Pros

Doing something different every day Coworkers were nice

Cons

No one in the office knows roofing as a trade. Therefore, you get ridiculous requests constantly. They expect you to work 12+ hours a day. They do not respect your personal time or boundaries. Expect work calls and texts well past 9 PM. No PTO until after 15 months. Work most weekends Complete disrespect from management and office staff. They do not request things, they demand them.
