Pros

Getting a position can be tough at CarSense. You need to work hard, believe in the company ethics and integrity, and live by those in your day to day life. You must push yourself to do better, work harder, work smarter and be a team player so that the entire store is successful, The rewards are astounding, and the gratification you feel from the very top tier of management to all of your co-workers flows through the building everyday. Automobiles are man made. They do break and they do have issues. CarSense works very hard to make sure every customer has a good experience. The team at Cranberry works well together. From the much appreciated lot attendants and detail staff to the awesome service and admin group. The sales/management team counts so much on everyone else to make our jobs a success, and words cannot express how much we count on everyone to be a success. Our sales and finance managers are awesome. The CEO and upper management team know everyone, by name. You can always, without fear, take a manager aside and discuss any issue. The friendly banter between all the departments shows how much we really care about each other, and how this is so much more of a family than just a place to come work. I truly feel blessed being hired here, and have finally found a home where I know that If I want to move up in management, or continue doing the sales job that I love, the continued opportunity is right here at CarSense. The most awesome part of my position is the fact that I can look a customer in the eye, and explain the CarSense philosophy of integrity and desire to make this the very best experience they have ever had while car shopping, and know that every word is backed up by this great company and how we do business. If you love sales, and have a desire to work hard, be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams, and be apart of a true family atmosphere, then apply to CarSense today, It will be the best decision of your life. The best compliment you can receive from a customer is "this was so much easier than any other time I've been car shopping. I really had a good time". And that's because we do things the CarSense way. The success of CarSense is evident when you see how many repeat customers we have and how many of our customers refer their friends and family to us. This only happens because they were treated honestly, with respect, integrity, and often a very fun experience, which doesn't happen often in the car business. The training at CarSense prepares you to offer a better experience than what customers have encountered from other dealers, It's because at CarSense, we actually care what our customers think, and we want to have the best trained staff in the business to deliver exceptional customer service every time.

Cons

Employees have complained about the sales training, but I think it's how you look at things and how you learn things. Having been in many training programs over the years,I can honestly say that there is room for improvement here just like most companies. Some say that certain people try to down-train you so that you won't be successful. But I disagree with that thought process. I think the sales staff pushes new sales employees to learn all they can, the CarSense way, because we know it works. And when it works, which means everyone on the staff working well together, we are all successful. Building and keeping a team sharp and motivated is a group effort. And you can always ask someone in your department for help, and they will be there for you. It's a team effort at CarSense, and if you think that your success is only dependent on what you do, and not with the help of others, then this is not the place for you.

Pros

After completing my first full quarter with CarShop, I can confidently say this has exceeded my expectations on every level. What initially stood out during the hiring process was the level of transparency—clear communication around expectations, performance metrics, and growth opportunities. That honesty has proven to be consistent with the day-to-day reality of the organization. From an operational and cultural standpoint, CarShop demonstrates a strong commitment to both its people and its customers. The caliber of talent across the organization is impressive—experienced, collaborative professionals who take ownership of their work while supporting one another. There is a clear alignment between leadership messaging and execution, which builds trust and drives performance. Having worked in roles spanning operations, marketing, logistics, and management, I place a high value on consistency between what is promised and what is delivered. CarShop delivers on that alignment. The work environment is structured yet supportive, with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and results. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my role, my colleagues, and the broader organization. It’s rare to find a company where the hiring experience accurately reflects the culture and expectations you step into—but CarShop does exactly that and I couldn't be happier professionally.

Cons

My commute is about an hour each way and there is no hybrid option - working from my home office 2 days per week for instance. Overall this is a small "Con" compared to the amazing "Pros" of my position at CarShop.

Pros

The culture in this location is great. I’ve never worked anywhere where the people (on multiple departments) got along so well and don’t make you hate going to work. Very little cliquey behavior. If you make the effort to get to know the other departments, you’ll have an easier time.

Cons

The competition is on the lower side of the industry. In sales, you have to be available even on your days off leaving a less than desirable work life balance. The expectations for the Mount holly location are the same as the stores that see a larger volume of customers. Some days you will just be sitting there. Your base salary is like $10 an hour, and the only way to get paid more is getting up in tiers which is super easy at the 5 other locations, but you’ll mostly be in the lower tier at Mount holly. Not because you don’t do your job but because there simply isn’t always enough leads. Then there’s the fact that you get blamed when something mechanical goes wrong or there’s a spot missed during detail. Car swaps can be a double edge sword. If you want to get your foot in the door in cartels it’s a great place to start. Also they will expect you to clear snow during storms.
