Some benefits (like profit sharing and increased PTO) only kick in after a year, so you need to commit to staying at the company at least that long to take advantage of those benefits. Also, there are definitely parts of the year when the company is busier, and we all feel an increased pressure to get things done quickly during those seasons.

Work parties, raft trips, potlucks

This company is the definition of the “bait and switch.” There is no structure, no leadership, the owner is constantly changing your job duties and when you question him he states “ I am the owner, I can do what I want.” The owner is a loose cannon, one day he is happy and the next he is threatening you with your job for literally no reason at all. He also has no issue belittling you, making you feel less, all while yelling this at you. Worst experience in a supposedly professional environment.
