Pros

First & most important, the patients are amazing. If you love kids this would definitely be a great place. Even though they come in sick, you build relationships with the families and it’s always great. The office staff is practically family. Everyone has each other’s back. The specific location I worked at was very fun and laid back.

Cons

Upper management isn’t the greatest at communicating. They point fingers a lot and never take blame for things. Also, being that there are several locations, it’s easy for locations to “clique up” & talk about other offices... sadly, upper management also participated in the gossip. Hopefully things are on track for them now, but while I worked there it was a frequent problem for different practices to have different procedures and ways of doing things, which in turn created confusion and frustration. In my opinion, no matter how many locations you have every office should be on the same page. There was also that time when everyone’s checks started to bounce because the company didn’t have the money to pay employees. That may not be an issue anymore.

Pros

Providers are nice and there because they love their patients

Cons

Management has driven this company into the ground. They cancelled everyone’s health insurance without notice in spring 2018. (They said they would cover any costs incurred, but they still owe employees thousands of dollars.) They have bounced paychecks for years and in fall 2018 they didn’t pay employees for 6 weeks because the company accounts were frozen. When funds are available but tight, they play favorites with which employees get access to their pay first and who has to wait to cash their paycheck. They often do not allow people to work out a notice period, and as a result people quit with no notice. Employees are miserable and the workplace is overwhelmingly negative... the providers care about their patients and are doing the best they can, but they are overworked and stressed out and have constantly changing front-desk and support staff. The offices are often out of supplies, ranging from vaccines (the state seized them) to paper towels. They don’t pay debts. They were in bankruptcy for several years. They keep promising that things will get better, but they have not and they’ve worn out good employees.
