Pros

I really loved being able to jump in on multiple projects and deepen my experience in different aspects of real estate and construction. At other corporate jobs I’ve had, I was always told to “stay in my lane”...but at Capsa, I was encouraged to contribute in areas that interested me, even if they were outside my role. Sometimes project work would develop organically with team members contributing according to their strengths. It was a very cool experience and one that I haven’t had elsewhere. The tight-knit group who make up the core of the company were some of the best people I’ve had the chance to work with. It was like family. I’m still friends with all of them.

Cons

Things could change rapidly from day-to-day when multiple projects were running. It wasn’t a con for me because I love an active environment where you have to think on your feet. Others who didn’t make it there in the past weren’t suited to that kind of challenge, so it’s important to know yourself when choosing a company to work for.

Pros

- We are a small, nimble company who rely on every employee to wear more than one hat. By doing this, it allows you to learn the full cycle of development and not one part of it. - It's ok to make mistakes (well, calculated ones). Own them and move on from them. - You can ask for help. We all have a job to do, but asking for help creates a wonderful team environment where together we will get through good times and challenging times together. - You are a vital part of the organizations success. If you take ownership in your job and leave fear behind, then you will thrive here.

Cons

- The unknown. If you want a career where you need consistency every day, do not work here. Real estate development is high risk and things don't always go as planned. - You wear a lot of hats. While your job title says one thing, you might be doing a multitude of other things to help the company. It's a big opportunity to learn new things, but some people prefer to stick to the job description which proves difficult in a small company.

Pros

I worked part-time during my last semester of college as their marketing intern. Upon graduation, I applied for a full-time position as their Brand Strategist and received the promotion! They have been extremely helpful with getting used to their new system protocols and have been equally appreciative of my hard work. Recently the CEO has shifted the company culture to be more exciting and engaging. We call ourselves gladiators and fight for our mission and our team. This has been such an amazing jumpstart to my career, and I couldn't have picked a better place to work. I'll miss the arena when it's my time to go.

Cons

They are a small company still trying to get their shoes tied before taking off running. This is more of an opportunity to shape the business, as long as you're willing to work hard.
