Pros

None, none, none, none, none!

Cons

No stability! Students have no consequences to behavior and actions, due to administration lack knowledge and training. No SPED classes nor teacher. Focus on staff instead of students behavior. Lack of professionalism. Staff come to work dress as if going to the club or getting out of bed. The atmosphere is tense! Eager to hire anyone due to lack of staff. Not suitable for experience professionals!

Pros

I worked at CCA for almost 3 years, in different capacities. Administration does a great job of keeping professional (making sure all HR laws are followed) and trying to make accommodations for the staff who need it. It’s a great place for teachers who are first starting to teach because they’ll be partnered with a coach in their teaching subject and a manager. It’s also great for working parents; most staff are parents themselves and understand when last min things come up. CCA also does a great job of offering competitive pay. My previous job at a charter school paid me $20,000 for the same 10 years experience I had; I left to CCA the first chance I got! I met some of my dearest friends and am sad to say goodbye. I would love to work at CCA if I was to relocated back to Sacramento.

Cons

No school is perfect and CCA is no exception. New teachers may complain about all the responsibilities they have to complete. However, most experienced teachers will thrive at this school. CCA has high expectations for staff and students; staff either meets them or they don’t.

Pros

Colleagues were amazing and everyone was there for the kids.

Cons

Honestly the same cons that come along with working in education generally.
