Pros

From a corporate perspective the company is well organized and informative Everything presents sparkly from the outside

Cons

Once you get on the inside you see the company's true colors. Shame and belittling in a public setting from upper management is a common practice especially within the CX practice. There are often inside jokes that exclude newcomers and leave you with a sense of exclusion or not part of the in-crowd. When it is happening, others do not stand up for you and there is just a sense of silence to avoid becoming the next target. But you know that they see it happening because they send personal chats trying to cheer you on, like "you got this" or "it's a tough crowd". Upper management focuses on your mistakes not your achievements and if you are not part of the in-crowd, they use this mistake to damage your self-esteem and therefore your ability to perform successfully The shame and belittling are coming from so high in upper management that there is nothing you can do to protect yourself. Coming from this level you find that it is contagious and encouraged. It's how your become part of the in-crowd and can hopefully avoid being the target.

CapTech Response

To think that anyone has experienced shaming or belittling from any employee at CapTech is disturbing and will not be tolerated in any capacity. Before going further in this response, I want to encourage you to set up a time to speak with me directly so I can better understand exactly what situations you encountered while at CapTech. Exclusion is exactly the opposite of what we stand for as a company from the top down. We work together, across service areas, and consider ourselves a flat organization where people check their egos at the door. After 20+ years of upholding five core values, that drive everything we do, we implemented the new value of Belonging. We felt it imperative to speak to our commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. This sentiment goes for all CapTech employees as we are place where you can bring your whole self to work and there is no “in-crowd” to be a part of because all are embraced and welcomed. I am very sorry that your experience with CapTech left such a negative impression, and I would welcome the opportunity to speak more. -Katy Apostolides, Managing Director - HR (kapostolides@captechconsulting.com)
