Pros

Canopy Servicing is a fully remote startup on an incredibly rapid trajectory. It is by far one of the best places I have worked in terms of leadership's commitment to transparency and to encouraging individuals to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility. Other companies talk about work/life balance, Canopy talks about work/life integration. While the company is currently primarily engineering focused, many of the values around transparency, empathy, & nurturing creativity make other roles more rewarding as well.

Cons

Approaching work in a new way sometimes leads to awkwardness. Canopy has a saying that it's better to be awkward, honest, and empathetic than to be right. As someone who frequently feels awkward, I appreciate this — other people may find a more conventional culture to be more comfortable.

Canopy is very people-focused and open to trying new things Everyone takes the initiative and focuses on communicating effectively The company values take high priority in hiring so they hire people who are great to work with It's a fully remote company and a lot of flexibility for work hours A lot of transparency and clear expectations

Cons

Life at Canopy can seem a bit chaotic sometimes because they're always experimenting with new ways of doing things (which can also be a good thing)
