Pros

FYI, this company games their Glassdoor reviews. The culture is actually very pleasant to work at. Building is great. Everyone is nice.

Cons

Like a lot of startups, this company has a ton of hype and is great at telling the story of why they're great. But remember it's hype. It's an engineering led culture, so getting things done quickly is challenging. Almost every team misses deadlines or takes a really long time to build simple stuff.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Certainly most companies experience challenges as they scale, and Canopy is no different. The layoffs were a particularly hard time as the company matured. That’s why we’ve worked to ensure that all our alum land on both feet in short order. But this setback is not at the heart of our story. We continue as a driven team supported by our advisors and partners to serve our growing customer base.

Pros

Excellent people Genuine about being AI-first in processes and product Inclusive, warm, and friendly culture Pay and benefits are great Good growth potential if you’re willing to work for it

Cons

Lots of change happening, but that’s true for every other company that is trying to figure out how to operate in a world with AI. Not really a con for me, but it can be too much for some folks

Pros

Canopy genuinely puts effort into creating a positive environment for employees. They regularly plan activities and do thoughtful things for the whole team that make people feel appreciated. The break room is always fully stocked (from brekky to dinner and sweets/snacks in between) which is a small detail but honestly makes a difference day-to-day. Work-life balance is truly supported here. Taking time off is encouraged and respected, which I really appreciate. Pay and benefits are solid and competitive for the market—nothing flashy, but fair and reliable. Overall it's a place where people care about each other and leadership makes an effort to create a good experience for employees.

Cons

At times it can feel a little cliquey, especially when you're new. But once you've proven yourself and built relationships, it becomes much easier to feel included and part of the team.
