The chance to meet some very bright individuals. Cannon has several offices across the country. They have designed some very beautiful buildings in the past but except for a couple recent projects things seem to be getting worse...
Cons
Ever since the reorganization of leadership a few years ago the company has been in turmoil. temporary pay reductions. Lots of layoffs followed by new hires with less experience sends a message. Productive people being laid off when senior non-producers are kept around. Not matching the 401K directly followed by announcing the acquisition of another firm sends the wrong message to employees. Lots of blame but very little genuine and meaningful recognition. Lots of new blue ocean initiatives that fill up leaderships time but don't seem to help. There is no loyalty or value of the employee so beware you can loose you job in an instant with no explanation even at the executive principal level.
