Pros

Modern, physically appealing, offices. Ergonomic furniture offers physically comfortable work spaces. Numerous office windows allow for natural light. Company transportation assistance, whether that be public transportation or a parking garage pass. Health, dental, and vision benefits available, but decreasing in quality from 2019.

Cons

Candid is a start-up which began in 2018. Candid's co-founders are young, charming, Ivy-League alums with an ability to secure investment capital. Unfortunately, their skills did not extend to break-even cost analysis, general accounting principles, cost-benefit analysis, or any additional skills needed to maintain and grow a viable business. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Candid leased and paid the extra cost to modernize three floors of an historic downtown building. Additionally, leadership outfitted the building with electrically adjustable desks for each employee. Similarly, the company's New York City office space was upgraded. These actions would indicate a company that is growing and anticipating future growth. However, three months later, in January 2020, the magnitude of the financial difficulty Candid was actually experiencing was felt when leadership laid-off 50% of their staff in one day with no prior notification. Candid leadership, and management, are no longer trusted by the staff who remain. Candid management is manipulative, calculating, duplicitous, and amoral. They focus solely on self-interest and personal gain. Leadership and management routinely lie, and when the lie is revealed the response given is, “things change.” This distrust makes for an unpleasant work day and environment. Before working here it is recommended that you read former and current reviews of this business, as well as patient reviews.

Pros

Great company with a welcoming and supportive culture. Employees are encouraged to share ideas, and leadership is approachable and accessible without feeling like you're bothering anyone. The environment is fast-paced, which keeps the work engaging, while teammates and managers are always willing to help and support one another. There's a strong sense of collaboration, flexibility, and openness that makes it a great place to grow and contribute.

Cons

The company is still growing and evolving, which means change happens quickly. This creates exciting opportunities. Those who prefer a more traditional environment may find the pace of change challenging.

Pros

Remote work, helping patients, inclusive caring environment when it started.

Cons

Startup that did not care about it's workers, mislead the shareholders and then did mass layoffs repeatedly after they changed models. Did not care about patient experiences and did not maintain it's promises to the customer. When they announced B2B after building it's success as D2C, leaders started jumping ship, those positions were not back filled and anyone below them was expected to pick up the responsibilities without any pay raise. Promised scheduled raises and bonus' never happened. By the time D2C was phased out, all of the teams were burnt out and they workplace had gone from cooperative and creative to toxic and destructive. They preached inclusivity and diversity, but that didn't rise above the lowest positions.
