Pros

No micro management Good people to work with Good benefits Very good work life balance Fair pay everyone wants more money though

Cons

Like all massive companies there's a lot of red tape. Teams are disorganized as is usual with massive companies. Work isn't super difficult if you're a junior dev you won't learn a lot as a lot of the work is already done. As in a lot of libraries already exist to use in front-end so not a lot of challenge and you won't learn a lot. As in you won't be building things out from scratch you just Re use existing code and libs. Backend is the same, not a lot of complicated work. Pretty straightforward work for both front end and Backend. Basically, you're put in a box and don't get to learn new technologies as there's teams for everything. You can ask to work on stuff of course so that's good.

Pros

Candescent has a strong, people‑first culture and is in an exciting growth and build phase, offering real opportunities to make an impact. Employees feel valued, heard, and supported, and the company is actively building a connected culture that brings people together. The work is purposeful, focused on building modern digital banking solutions that matter.

Cons

It has been a great company so far and it is a fast-paced environment.

Pros

Legacy employees are great. People who actually know what the structure is and know the world of financial institutions.

Cons

Senior Leadership is more interested in lying to customers (Somehow at Accelerate 2025 we were at parity with competitors, but at Axis 2026 we were behind but spent the year catching up?) and making promises they don’t know how they can deliver on. Also, every member of the SLT and their VPs all have their own agendas and don’t know how to build something sustainable. They are trying to convert the company into start-up, even though we had a well-established business presence. They would rather work their employees to the bone instead of making things manageable. Also, they build out the Agile leadership before any other new organization. So now, product and IT is focused on complying to “radiance” rather than radiance accelerates how we get our work done.
